I participated in #Spoonjune2021 and created a bunch of iPad digital paintings of, you guessed it, spoons. This is an exercise to help artists get used to drawing metal objects, which is a very useful skill to have. The additional benefits are that it also helps by giving you “mileage” – a term that is as it sounds, gaining experience by doing the drawings. Since the spoon is pretty simple, it’s also a pretty easy exercise and a lot of shape drawing and spatial relationship skills get their muscles toned too.
