sunburned and stonebruised
apples on the lawn
cool dappled shade

blue-eyed darner
gold sunlight stitches
green tomato leaves

black-kitty inside
not through back door
through front window

caterpillar chrysalis
passion vine inside for autumn
winter butterfly wings

starlings in the cedar
calls like running water
in this drought
